Seba De Caro is an Argentine director and screenwriter known for his intimate, independent cinema infused with existential irony. His filmography blends personal storytelling with a handmade aesthetic, exploring everyday desires, failures, and absurdities.

His debut feature, Rockabilly (2000), established a raw yet poetic style that he deepened in De noche van a tu cuarto (2005), an introspective look at urban loneliness. In 2013, he released 20,000 Besos, an existential comedy well received on the independent festival circuit.

Among his most notable achievements is Claudia, a mid-length film that opened the 2022 edition of BAFICI (Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema), cementing his place in Argentina’s auteur film scene. His short film Rosa was selected for the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, one of Latin America’s most prestigious.

On the global stage, he directed Matrimillas, a romantic comedy that became a Netflix Original and premiered simultaneously in 191 countries, marking a major milestone in his career through its international reach.

He has also ventured into music videos, directing a clip for the band Estelares, which was nominated for a Gardel Award—Argentina’s highest music honor—in the category of Best Music Video.

Throughout his career, De Caro has maintained remarkable artistic consistency, moving fluidly between festival cinema, global streaming platforms, and diverse audiovisual formats—all while preserving a distinctive, ironic, and deeply human voice.
