Biography
Zak is a director known for his emotionally resonant storytelling, striking visuals, and distinct artistic voice.
With more than a decade of experience and a dynamic, detail-oriented creative approach, he brings originality and depth to every project. Zak began his career in production at BBH London before transitioning into directing, where he has since built a strong reputation across both commercials and film.
His debut short film, JORDANNE, received international acclaim and earned him awards including Shots' Best New Director, Creative Circle’s Best New Talent and best short film at the Kinsale Shark Awards, as well as a British Arrows nomination.
His acclaimed work has screened at major festivals such as Sheffield Doc/Fest, London Short Film Festival, and Dublin International Film Festival.
In 2024, Zak's commercial for Alzheimer’s Society, "Nobody Asks" , was honored with the Best Casting in a Commercial award at the UK Casting Directors’ Guild Awards , further highlighting his ability to bring powerful, human stories to life.
