Agustin Toscano
Biography

Agustín Toscano (Tucumán, Argentina, 1981) is an actor, director and screenwriter. His work has stood out in Argentine independent cinema. His debut feature, Los Dueños (2013), co-directed with Ezequiel Radusky, debuted at Cannes Critics' Week and won the Silver Bear at Mar del Plata. This marked his arrival as a fresh and critical voice of new national cinema.
In 2018, he presented El Motoarrebatador, which was selected for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes and Horizontes Latinos at San Sebastián. The film won several awards, including the Sur Award. In 2023, he released his first documentary, En Vos Confío, which debuted at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and at Sanfic, where it was awarded the Best Director prize.
As a screenwriter, he has collaborated on projects such as Inmersión (2021), Oro Amargo (2024) and Simón de la Montaña (2024). These projects have reinforced his role as creator and storyteller in contemporary Ibero-American cinema.
